A few weeks ago I happened to catch “Pretty in Pink” on tv. I was reminded of two things: how the film always makes me cry, and that my ex still has my entire film collection - and refuses to return it.

“well here’s… here’s the point. i’m not particularly concerned with whether or not you like me, because i live to like you and… and i can’t like you anymore. so… so when you’re feeling real low and… and dirty, and your heart is splattered all over hell, don’t look to me to pump you back up because… cause… cause maybe for the first time in your life i won’t be there”
Duckie Dale was a better dresser, had a better heart, & way better taste than Blane. I would have picked the Duck.  I guess in the original ending Andie picked him, but that did not go over well with the audience so months later they called back everyone to refilm the ending. You can tell by Andrew McCarthy’s hair (he was wearing a wig).

I’m all for Duckie too. What a little charmer.
