The Beatles, “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” is an 8-minute eargasm to zone out to, with or without the synthetic aid of drugs. Love it, or leave it. Legendary.

I am posting this in celebration of my recent plans to visit San Francisco in late April. Here’s Eric Burdon & The Animals, “San Franciscan Nights”. The sound quality isn’t what it could be, but have yourself a listen, and be chill.

backtolife91:

hey look, it’s those gods with the godly Sgt. Pepper album.

Paul and John with the definitive masterpiece of 1967.
The scarf really makes this.
This is just all kinds of cute.

crimson and clover - tommy james & the shondells (1969)

Quite possibly my favourite song of all time.

Another great from the late 60s.

Tommy James & The Shondells - “Sugar on Sunday”.

I remember these guys. I played “Incense and Peppermints” and “Barefoot in Baltimore” to death when I was in high school. Great band.

White Rabbit

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don’t do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she’s ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you’re going to fall
Tell ‘em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you’ve just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice
I think she’ll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen’s “off with her head!”
Remember what the dormouse said;
“Keep YOUR HEAD
_______________
Keep your head”

Jefferson Airplane
